The thing that games developers back in the day knew is what people really liked in a game. You never know, with the growing popularity of 3D TVs you may see something like a 3D hockey game before long. That technology is probably already with us it's just a case of making it affordable. The continued progression has seen hockey games and in particular NHL titles catch up with the rest of the sports games out there. In fact NHL games are rapidly becoming one of the most popular team sports games on any platform. It's lucky then that we are time a time when the advances in technology have made as privy to the world through different eyes.
